Ribbon Community and Vancouver Black Therapy and Advocacy Fund are collaborating to offer newcomer women living with HIV and their families anywhere in BC no cost counselling. Ribbon Community reviews applications and prioritizes women as equitably as possible. Once approved, women work directly with licensed counsellors from VBATF. All participating counsellors have completed an introduction to HIV facilitated by people living with HIV at Ribbon.
To access the program, women and their family members and/or advocates/service providers can complete this short online form. This is the first step to be enrolled in the program. Ribbon staff will use this information to distribute available sessions as equitably as possible. A Ribbon staff will respond to all applications within 6 weeks or less. While we may not be able to provide therapy to everyone interested, we will respond to all requests and work to identify appropriate resources. At Ribbon Community, the word woman is always inclusive of transgender and cisgender women.
For support with this form or questions about the program, please reach out to Ribbon Case Manager, Tova [[email protected] or call/text 236-688-3080].
