The more you know: HPV, vaccines, and your cervix!

May 28, 12:00 - 1:00 PM

A team of researchers in British Columbia has been working to understand what happens if people living with HIV who have a cervix get two doses of the HPV vaccine instead of three. They are also asking about people's attitudes towards self-sampling for HPV as part of screenin for cervical cancer. This team will be sharing what they have learned thus far in their research with Ribbon Community.

Ribbon Community Peer Navigators will be hosting this event, which will include a meal, a chance to learn about cervical cancer screening and the NOVA-HIV study, ask questions to a health care provider, and connect with others living with HIV. The information will be presented by the NOVA-HIV study.

This event is for people living with HIV who were born with a cervix. Please RSVP at Ribbon Reception ([email protected] or call 604-893-2201).

For more information, contact Sara at [email protected].

***Please note Ribbon Community, and our peer offices at Positive Health Services, John Ruedy Clinic, and Oak Tree Clinic are closed on May 19 for a statutory holiday.
