POSITIVE TALK & DINNER

THIRD TUESDAY | 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM

Positive Talk at Ribbon Community. This program starts at 5:30 pm. A team of peer facilitators work together to host a shared meal and dedicated spaces for people living with HIV. This group welcomes everyone, including long-term survivors of all ages and people from outside Vancouver.

Throughout the evening, peer facilitators offer dedicated spaces based on identities of those present, including Arabic speakers, women, and African and Black people.

This is a free program. Ribbon provides dinner and bus tickets.

MY MIND, MY LIFE INFORMATION SESSION

Ribbon Community is partnering with researchers to offer a group program focused on brain health and quality of life for people living with HIV. Join us on July 15 to learn about the project. If you are over 50 years old and have been living with HIV for 20 plus years, this project is for you. Our Surrey programs operate on the lands of Indigenous peoples - SEMYOME (Semiahmoo), q̓ic̓əy̓ (Katzie), kʷikʷəƛ̓əm (Kwikwetlem), q̓ʷɑ:n̓ƛ̓ən̓ (Kwantlen), qiqéyt (Qayqayt), xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) and sc̓əwaθən məsteyəxʷ (Tsawwassen) First Nations.

All people living with HIV are welcome at these programs. Public transit tickets are available to support participation.
